Every Moose member that meets the minimum requirements is eligible to make an application for membership in the Moose Legion, the Degree of Service. The purpose of the Moose Legion is to band together those loyal and devoted members of the Moose who desire to make further contributions to the humanitarian objective of our Order, plus forming a strong foundation for advancement through the higher degrees.
The Fellowship Degree of Honor is conferred only upon Moose Legion members who are especially called to receive this Degree. This honorary Degree comes as a reward for outstanding service rendered to the Order, and is a much coveted mark of distinction.
The ultimate and highest Degree bestowed on a member of the Moose is the Pilgrim Degree of Merit. The Degree is conferred only in the House of God at Mooseheart, and comes as a reward to members of the Fellowship Degree for exceptional and outstanding service to the Order.
Effect October 1, 2007 to advance into the Moose Legion Degree you must either be a member in good standing for one year and signed one L.O.O.M. member or a member in good standing for six months and signed three L.O.O.M. members.
It is sincerely hoped that every member will devote himself toward the magnitude of Moose service that merits these Higher Degrees. |
